Padres Bully Fails to Hold Ms

well, the bloom is off the May rose and the Padres are quickly returning to earth and the reality that they are a dull, mediocre team with a porous bullpen, hapless hitters, mistake-prom rookies, cracky old vets, and a once decent defense gone completely south.

No really, folks, that is how the Padres played last night's game against the Ms. If anything came out of this game, it that the bullpen ain't making it. Oh well.

Flan Flan, the Color Man

Not sure about Tim Flannery as a play by play guy, I he is a GREAT color man. He gives us tons of baseball insights that Ted could never do.

For instance, last night, an M batter is up against Cassidy (I think). Flan explains how the pitcher was tricked by the batter, who showed bunt, so the pither grooved a fastball down the middle, but the batter drilled it for a solid single and an RBI.

His play by play is, as a coupla years, still herky jerky, but love to hear his insights in the game.

Go Padres!
