Season Sweep of the Cubs

Wow, killed the Cubs again Sunday. Nice Mother's Day gift for all the Madres who traveled to the game.

Padres have won 5 in a row and are in sole position of first place. Here are the standings. Nice, huh?

Next up, the Snakes and these are important games in the standings because the Snakes are just a game and half back. Here is the UT preview.

1. The pink bats made very little difference so shame on players too macho to use one. In fact, I could barely tell the difference on TV, but then according to Mrs. Padre Mike, I'm a little color blind.

2. Funny how the Padre power guy is our ragamuffin, blond-headed shortstop with da quick hands. Khalil's up to 8. Maybe he can give Mike and Brian a few tips.
